FMP – Character Research

I then began the research on Nightcrawler, I started with some basic images of him to get a better idea on how I’d model him in the animation

I also used different pictures showing him in different positions so if I were to use any in the animation it would be easier to model. I then began researching the story of Nightcrawler, which gave me information that would change how I would have him move and act in the animation with his fighting style, as well as who it was he was actually fighting.

I went onto the official Marvel website to find information into the character, and learned more about his past and other characteristics that would help me create his model

• Hair- Blue
• Citizenship- German

Kurg Wagner was born in Bavaria, Germany, as the child of the terrorist Mystique and the Neyaphem leader Azazel.

FMP – Environment Research

For my FMP I wanted to have a city background for my final render and began research into different cities that I thought had nice landscapes, such as London, Tokyo, Paris and New York. I used these images to help me narrow down what I wanted for the final piece. I then decided that a smaller town would work better for the render as a vibrant city in the background would draw the attention away from the actual piece, so I looked at smaller towns and neighborhoods in order to find something simplistic that would fit with the design of my character.

I then used this research to help with how I wanted the final scene to look, where he would be standing/posing and what I wanted the background to look like.
